Delegation Trip to Ghana - Meet and connect with the Ghana ecosystem

The second edition of our business delegation trip will offer a first-hand experience of Ghana’s economy and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and present opportunities for international collaboration. It will give visiting delegates an up-close and firsthand look at business opportunities in the Ghanaian market, digital innovations in the local startup scene, and the culture of the Ghanaian people. There will be organized sessions, tailored meetings and networking opportunities for business founders, investors, enablers and key stakeholders to meet and interact.

Together with our partner Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH, we at the AfricaBerlin Network connect the Berlin ecosystem with Africa’s leading startup and innovation hubs.

The overall objective of the mission is to link Berlin & African-based companies, investors and enablers with counterparts from Accra, Ghana.

Startup founders and managers
Small and medium-sized enterprises
Venture capitalist/investors
Enablers and hub managers
Business founders with intention to expand to the Ghanaian market
Germans of Ghanaian descent interested in exploring local business opportunities

What do you need to apply?

For everyone:

A plan/interested for internationalization (Whether as a startup, a support organization or an investor)
Your organization/startup/company should already be registered and established in your location

For startups:

Your company products/services and generated the first revenues
Your company has more than 3 full-time equivalent employees
Your company has closed a funding round (at least series A funding)

DAY 2 | 25 April | Conference Day w/ Panel, Pitch & Deep Dive Sessions

DAY 3 | 26 April | Partner site visit and discussion on Diversity in AI & Accra Digital Circle Speed Dating and Networking

DAY 4 | 27 April | Hub Visit & Sightseeing Tour

DAY 5 | 28 April | Community Breakfast, Networking & 1:1 Meetings

DAY 6 | 29 April | Departure day

After the application deadline, we will review all received applications and select the companies to join our physical delegation program. All applicants will be informed within two weeks.

Please note that due to the nature of the program, travel and accommodation expenses are to be paid by yourself and will not be reimbursed by organizing parties.
